about
As an ominous malevolence breaches the delicate equilibrium of our universe, its very essence teeters on the brink of annihilation. Entrusted with the solemn duty of safeguarding this realm, the custodians embark on a quest to anoint heralds of luminance, whose valorous deeds will tip the scales in favor of righteousness, thereby shrouding the impending shadows with the radiance of hope.

James Ferrell and co. have cemented their new sound as The Welcoming debuts their first release as a complete ensemble. Contrary to Decayed which served as a reflection of sorts from contemporary to progressive rock, this release is a characterization of the unique post-rock/math rock sound that the band has been working on for the last year and a half. I think Neptune slots nicely in the modern-day post-rock milieu as a standout release definitely worth your hard-earned money. Adedamola Adeniyi

I really like this album. Probably my favorite from Above The Snowline so far. Its dark, its sincere and inspired. It flows well from beginning to end but doesn't fall into the trap of all the tracks being too samey. It feel like a well crafted mix of Nine Inch Nails and IAMX with some Marilyn Manson spice on top. Electronic, dark and industrial music fans shouldn't miss this. Jean-Sebastien Gauthier

From arena ballads to '80s-style girl rock to hot, spicy funk, all powered by the beautiful vocal talent and songwriting skills of Tracy Cloud, this 5-track EP should not be missed!
